Sewing and Beyond with Mary Anne Ciccotelli

On Thursday I painted the stairway walls with the second coat of paint. While I had my paint out I decided that this pipe had to be painted.


I think it looks much better!

We talked about changing this dryer vent when we moved into the house, but it’s kind of like – out of site out of mind, so it never got changed.

(Do you think it’s about time to change it?)

I don’t know why we didn’t do that alot sooner. Then, we started to do wash – you will never guess what happened – the washer started leaking. Can you believe it. I guess the old washer was feeling intimated by it’s new surroundings. What to do now, we have to go ahead with installing the carpet because Summer camps start Monday I need my studio set-up for sewing with five kids all day. We have no idea how old the wash/dry are. They were in these house when we moved in.

(I think my mom is looking down on us and thinking that we should have changed to my Maytag washer. My mom was a Maytag lover, she only had eyes for Maytags. Randy – my BIL has the same eyes. He and Susan own a couple of laundromats and they only have Maytags in them.)

Then the leak stopped. We are wondering is this permanent or just for that load? Now we are really wondering what to do.

We worked until 1:00 am getting things moved out of the basement, cleaning up and just doing the last minutes preparations.
