(Pieced in 2002 or 2003)
I had one block left so I decided to use it on the back of the quilt. I originally had enough of the floral for the back but one of my sewing students was using this floral for her borders and she couldn’t find the pieces we had cut when she started the project so I let her use the floral fabric that I had set aside for the back.
QPN (Quilt Professional Network) has an annual conference in the Spring. Last conference (2007) we each received a vintage block with the challenge to make an 18″ mini quilt using the block. The conference is April 4-6. Guess the QUEEN OF THE LAST MINUTE better get busy.
I had one idea, but before I got the block taken apart, I had designed another quilt, and that is the direction that I am heading. I will be using every peice of fabric from the original block.
I don’t really like the mulsin because the white/blue points get lost and you can’t see them.
Not really sold on this color either. Decided to see what I could find while at the Lancaster Quilt show on Saturday.
Lancaster Quilt Show
This quilt was made by Nancy Prince. I took a class from her on Thread Painting. Her work is amamzing.
Here are a few more pictures from the show.
Have a great day!!!!
Wow, I still have so far to go! That is a really neat idea for a stack and whack, I might think about doing that. You get such an interesting rhythm in the quilt.
