Day 6

The sheetrock finishers worked on Saturday. They are doing just more finish work. Doesn’t look that much different in the picture. I can’t wait until they start painting the vent pipes WHITE. That is really going to make things look different. Luckily the basement stays fairly cool since we are having a record breaking heatwave. I could not turn on the A/C since a couple of the vent were unattached. Saturday afternoon I got Tom to reattach them so we could turn on the A/C. I love our central air. Sure makes my attitude much better when the hot/humid/heat comes. Tom and I started to get into the action. We are going to put another layer of the white water proofing on the the rock walls. Since we are not sure when they are going to hang the cabinets above the sink, we wanted to get that portion of the wall completed. I did part of it Saturday morning and Tom and I worked on the rest of it later.

A fresh layer of paint always makes things look alot better.
I worked alittle on the quilt that will be put on the recliner. Have all 10 blocks completd with the random colored squres. Now to put it all together. Still trying to decide how to do the border. I many just put the border fabric on the back – it is not singing to my heart in any the combinations that I have put together.
